Today we (EarthTrendy.com) are delighted to be launching the first lesson of The Karate Spirit Collection which embodies the 20 principles of Shotokan Karate known in Japanese as the Nijū kun.
Many ideas are discussed in ones karate journey, this collection is no exception. During a recent visit an idea was presented to us from our own Sensei Scott Middleton to research and develop the Nijū kun on our shirts..This is the result of his genius idea.
Twenty “instructions” written by the Founder of Shotokan Karate Master Gichin Funakoshi are not really instructions but are more like the essence, foundations or words to live by in life inside and outside the dojo while studying this Martial Art.
They are the essence and principles of karate and there to guide and assist karateka who practice and teach Shotokan Karate . Arguably they can be words to live by for any Martial Artist
